With the 6th April fast approaching, when the new off payroll working rules come into effect, we wanted to highlight the options you still have;
You might be in a position where your agency or client have not done their due diligence or completed a proper assessment of your role, regarding the IR35 status. In this case you will probably be offered the an inside IR35 role, but via an umbrella company. This option is very costly and you will be financially worse off.
The good news is that many other companies/agencies HAVE done proper assessments for IR35, with contractors remaining on an Outside IR35 basis. Since the start of the new year we’ve noticed the contractor marketplace has picked up, and especially for Outside IR35 roles.
